Exercise 2.5 Focussing Near; Focussing Far
These images show the different results obtained by focussing on an object which is quite close to the front of the scene and an object which is much further into the scene.
The first image had focus achieved on the decorative aspect of the green railings. The railings are sharply in focus and the rails and trains further into the scene are defocussed due to the depth of field. The second was taken using the same aperture yet focussing was upon the pale green metal of the locomotive which is sharply focussed. The depth of field leaves the railings defocussed and the rails and the red carriage more focussed than they were in the first image.
